The left mouse button is mapped to Joey’s attack. Keep an eye on your footing: enemies can attack across platforms, and a successful hit does not remove the need to move.
Read the enemy
Several current enemies visibly prepare a leap, swoop, dart or bite. Watch that preparation, avoid the committed attack and respond during recovery where possible.
